Roger Bacon is a new innovative brand of glasses that aims to solve an age-old problem: glasses that just don’t fit right. Even after some adjustments they start irritating on the nose flanges, hurt behind the ears or start sliding down your nose. Roger Bacon asked us to research and develop tailor made glasses while keeping cost low. As the experience of having perfect fitting tailor made glasses is currently only available for the very high-end brands.
It works like this, you choose a frame-model that fits your style and have a 3D-scan made at an optician that sell Roger Bacon glasses. The chosen model is then produced using your personal scanned measurements, resulting in a set of unique 3D-printed glasses with an imprint that is truly yours.
To make this possible we set up adjustable 3D-models and designed the personalization workflow behind the scenes of the custom made glasses. At the moment we are automating the process even further, and are also increasing the amount of available frame styles.
