SUUZ is a jewelry fashion brand that offers mass customized personal jewelry for confection prices. Believing in mass-customization and it’s added value we founded SUUZ in 2012 together with Jan Verschoor and Malik Tas among others. Jewelry is an interesting product for mass-customization because in fashion customers gladly pay for the added value of a unique design.
To make it as accessible as possible we wanted people to be able to design their own jewelry online. To do this various customizers were created, allowing customers to give the products a personal touch. This can be done with input methods such as text and pictures. The website instantly shows a realistic representation of what your design will look like.
We worked on both the interface and the generated programmable designs. But also learned a lot about sales, promotion, contact with clients and quality control – all the important things to get a company profitable.
In the beginning of 2014 the rapid growth of the brand has led to Elco and Jan running the company on a full-time basis – with Frank remaining as shareholder.
